Our Pastoral Care system is underpinned by our Safeguarding and Child protection Policy which recognises our legal responsibility for the care, welfare and safety of the pupils in our college. We believe that everyone, including pupils and staff, has the fundamental right to be safe from harm and to have proper care given to their physical, emotional and spiritual wellbeing.
Intro
Our college works to promote a climate which fosters effective learning based on good relationships between all those who work and learn.
A Pastoral Team of Form Tutors and Pastoral Heads, supported by a specialist counsellor, are available regularly for consultation, and pupils are encouraged within our ‘Learning for Life and Work’ programme to relate to others appropriately and be sensitive to their needs. This strong pastoral team ensures that a robust network of support is available for each pupil.
